			Photovoice is a method that lets individual express their perspective through the artistic mean of photography. Considering the prevalence of mobile communication in our daily lives, especially for young people, this can be extrapolated to digital diaries that, beyond photographs, include videos, social media content, and even text messages or email communication. This citizen science approach offers a new perspective on understanding each individual’s experience of their environment.

It positions the individual in a participatory approach that encourages self-expression by allowing a voice through visual and digital representation.
